I'm a self-taught web designer based in Edinburgh, Scotland, with a love for thoughtful design and the little details that bring a creative idea together.

My interest in design started with the things I was naturally drawn to: beautiful typography, interesting colour combinations, inspiring interiors and websites that felt effortless to use. Over time, that curiosity developed into a real interest in creating digital spaces that balance visual appeal with practicality.

Alongside web design, I enjoy exploring fashion, makeup and beauty, interiors and all sorts of creative projects. I like finding inspiration in everyday things and discovering simple ways to make an idea work a little better.

When it comes to makeup, I prefer soft glam and wearable looks. I'm especially interested in application techniques, undertones, textures and packaging, and in how to create a polished look without a huge collection.

How this is researched

Entries are written from established cosmetic chemistry and technique fundamentals - how a formula's base and pigment behave, how tools are built and used, how techniques actually work - rather than from marketing copy or a single brand's product claims. Where a technique or product category has genuine debate (e.g. formula preferences by skin type), the entry says so instead of picking a side.

Pages are revisited when a correction comes in or when a category's general consensus changes, not on a fixed schedule - the goal is accuracy holding up over years, not a content calendar.
